The George Sheehan Classic

This weekend I ran in my second race.
The George Sheehan Classic in Red Bank.
"Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be" - George Sheehan
This was on the back of the medals that were handed out to everyone who ran.

There are a few other races I intend on running.
I had some goals (I didn't know how realistic they were because these were my first races)
I set a goal for under two hours in the half marathon and I reached that goal. My official time was 1 hour 57 minutes and 59 seconds.
For the George Sheehan 5 mile run, I wanted to run 8 minute miles for a total of 40 minutes. I reached that goal too. Official time 39 minutes and 49 seconds.

The next races I see in the future are:
7/12/08 - Belmar 5 mile run
8/10/2008 - Freehold 10 mile run Turkey Swamp Race Day
9/21/2008 - Philadelphia Half Marathon
10/05/2008 - Sandy Hook Half Marathon
10/19/2008 - Atlantic City Half Marathon

Also Long Branch has a Triathalon once a month:
7/13, 8/16, 9/21
I'm looking into swimming and biking now.

The 3 half marathons might be tough because they are so close together.
I really want to run in the Phili and Sandy Hook ones.
Atlantic City has a full and half marathon plus 5k and 10k races.
So I might do the 10K race in AC.
I don't think I will make the jump to a full marathon.
Maybe in a few years :)

Marine Corps Marathon

So Crazy Sarah got me to run in the Marine Corp Half Marathon.
It was my first time running since running track at Red Bank Regional.
And of course I beat her!!!!! I only trained for a couple weeks :)
I only beat her by 2 minutes but I still beat her!!!!!
So this past weekend I was hanging out with my other sister Alison.
(Who likes to run in 90 degree weather in the Hot City)
She is Crazier than Sarah and I.
So we decided (After drinking whiskey, scotch and vodka all day) we are going to sign up for a tri-athalon.
The only problem with me is I can't swim. So I am going to try and start swimming this summer.

I don't even know if anyone will read this but who cares. I have some cool pictures to post.

SPY HOUSE

So I went to a GREAT party at Jana and Vinny's house last night.
That was a lot of fun :) The food was great. We should do that more often.
Next time we can hang out in Freehold or Little Silver (piss my parents off :))

So anyone ever been to the Spy House in Middletown?
I went there last night with some friends.
That was the first time I've been there since I was 10.
I went there on a class trip.
So if you don't know what the Spy House is its supposed to be a haunted house.
I've never seen any ghosts.
Some of my friends go ghost hunting and they say they have seen ghosts at the Spy House and other places before. (I think they were drunk :))
Anyway we didn't see anything last night.
The Spy House is supposed to be one of the most haunted places in the United States.

Huge World Cup game today.
Italy verse Germany. The winner of this game wins the whole thing I think.
I'm taking Italy. The only team to score on Italy during this world cup was Italy.
They haven't given up a goal to there opponent during the whole World Cup.

In the othe game Portugal vs France. I don't want to but I'm going with France.
This could be Zinedine Zidane last game (Best player in the world besides Michael Owen)
